No commentsHow Big is God?
I was sitting on our deck in the mountains looking at Grandfather Mountain (http://www.grandfather.com ) and was asking myself that question. For many people the beach stirs the heart to ask that question. For me, it is the mountains. As I look out over the vast array of trees, vegetation, wild life, undulating topography and clouds that appear to be so close you can touch them, I see God. I see that there is no way that we are an accident or that there is not a creator that placed all of this in motion. I am in awe as I look at the mountains and am drawn to Psalm 121:1: I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from? I realize how “small” I am in the grand scheme of things and yet how blessed I am that God…my God, our God…would choose to create such wonder and beauty to glorify himself and
to allow us to share in that beauty.
