7 commentsWhat will I leave behind from 2009?
It has been a tradition for Lisa and I to sit and set goals for the new year on New Years Eve. We have done this for years and have most of them saved in a file. But this year is different…Our Pastor, Steven Furtick at Elevation Church posted a tweet indicating that he and his wife were listing the things they would “leave behind” from the past year. This one tweet has started a series of tweets on the items he is leaving behind which in turn got me thinking about my 2009. 2009 has been a year of great turmoil, disappointment, hurt, excitement and hope…all wrapped up in a 12 month period. So I have decied to not set “resolutions” for 2010, but rather list out the things I plan to leave behind from 2009 (and even further back in some cases)

3 commentsDecision Making
All of us must make decisions…it is inevitable. We decide to stay fit or to make
certain purchases or to make a decision that is going to impact our lives and those around us. Like taxes and death, making decisions are are part of life….even a decision to not make a decision is a decision (that was a mouthful).I was with another Christian Businessman last week who gave me the following from a business leaders group that he attends. This is some great stuff.

No commentsHow to get started with a Facilities Management program
Over the past several weeks, I have had a number of people approach me with the question,”How do we get started with a Facilities Management program?”
My guess is that there are many of you out there asking the same question…or possibly trying to re-evaluate your current FM program, process and staffing. Those who have asked this of me have been looking for guidance in a couple of areas…the ones that seem to be the most common are:
1. How much should we budget for FM?
2. Same for utilities?
3. How do we staff for our current or new facility? (I have heard this a lot from people in the midst of a building project)
