whathappened 200x200 What Has Happened to Tim Cool?I’m Baaaaack. Actually, I never left….just refocusing and developing a fresh and new approach to serve the Kingdom of God through the local church and other ministries.

After a wonderful 23 year experience with Cogun, Inc of planning, strategizing, developing, designing (don’t tell my architect friends that I don’t have a license to design) and building ministry facilities, I have stepped out on my own to spread my proverbial wings and focus on another facet of this industry.  This has not been an easy journey and I assure you that it has come with many sleepless nights, sweaty palms, the feeling like I am falling from an airplane and cannot find the ripcord, tears, frustration and confusion.  But I am as certain as I have ever been that God is leading this journey and I am doing my best to just follow and keep up with Him.

Over the past 3 months I have had the time to write a book (should be released in about 120 +/- days…stay tuned), write a couple white papers, meet with dozens of friends, family, colleagues, and new associate as well as set up my very first personal lap top.  For those of you who know me….you know what kind of withdrawal I go through without my e-mail.  I had to stop the shakes and so I bought my own laptop.

In my spare time….I have started a new firm…COOL SOLUTIONS GROUP.  Thanks to my good friend Armando Full wood (http://www.design2020.com ) and his partner in crime, Adam Carlan (http://www.intheimage.com), we developed a logo (ain’t it “COOL”…no pun intended…sort of), developed the COOL website and also this COOL blog ( COOL Conversations)….this is all very COOL.

So what does COOL SOLUTIONS do?  I am glad you asked (even if you didn’t, please just play along and smile).

Our Mission is to “Inspire organizations to collaborate effectively in order to create ministry environments that work…and continue to work.

At Cool Solutions Group, we not only want to “create ministry environments that work” we want them to continue to work long after the physical construction is complete. That is why we have developed our Facilities Management program. We believe there is a better way to accomplish the maintenance and repair issues that come with EVERY building…regardless of age. Our Facilities Management services will provide churches with a single source to rely on for forward planning of maintenance of the facility as well as trained construction professionals to navigate the issues associated with unexpected repairs. Let me give you a little more explanation as to why we are so passionate about this:

WHY FACILITIES MANAGEMENT FOR YOUR MINISTRY?

  • Better Stewardship of the physical resources and tools that God has provided
  • Free-up church staff, leaders and volunteers to focus on the core reason why the church/ministry exists
  • Cost savings potential – operationally, energy consumption, life cycle and staff
  • Obtain predictable cost projections to limit surprises and assist in budgeting
  • Environmental stewardship through the exploration and implementation of systems, equipment, means and methods to reduce energy consumption
  • Impact the lives of those seeking a relationship with Christ by providing an environment to minister that will not distract from a guest’s first impressions.

WHY COOL SOLUTIONS GROUP?

  • Full time Facilities Management support at a fraction of the cost
  • 23 years experience with church/ministry facilities
  • Only company solely dedicated to Facilities Management for ministries
  • Passion for the church and desire to see ministries be efficient and effective in their core competencies: purpose/ministry focused and not profit centric
  • We have a Team of professional Select Service Providers that are qualified, insured, fair and reliable
  • Proprietary Web Based Facilities Management system for all service requests, work orders, scheduling, preventive maintenance, tracking, processing, tracking costs and long term budgeting
  • Single point of contact for ease of coordination by church staff and volunteers in resolving maintenance and repair issues
  • We focus on your facilities so that you can focus on ministry and people.

You can also read about our Project Facilitation service and get some great downloads.

I would welcome you to join me in celebrating the launch of this new ministry venture and would covet your prayers as we continue to seek the Lord and serve His church.
